Transformers with C-Core Construction

C-Cores refers to the special type of core used in the construction of the transformer.    Its core is shaped like the letter "C" and two core halves are put together with the wound coil.

The cores are available in several grades and steel gage sizes.  Better steel allows their use in higher frequency applications and allows the core densities to be pushed higher for smaller packages.    Their size is not limited to "industry standards"  and can be customized to almost any shape.  The steel cut in the center provides a natural gapped construction for Inverters and Inductor Applications.
